This is a movement-form experiment I've been working on for some time.
The idea for this project was to create some kind of organism that interacts with the mouse movements.
First thing was to make a grid of points linked by lines. When the mouse distance to any point si smaller than 20 pixels, the law of repulsion comes into place making the point react to the mouse.
The force of repulsion is set to a high level so when the mouse interact with a point, that point is pushed away very quick and freezes becuse of that 20 pixels rule that i've talked about earlier.
When you click your left mouse button, the rules are changed a little bit so is the home_position and other things...
This experiment is one of my favorites. Creates some nice forms if you play with it longer and , of course, I've reached my goal.
NOTE: the quality is set to low but you can make it high by right clicking on the picture and set in the quality menu the high option.(That setting runs preety slow on my Turion64 MT-37 sistem)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
